More pictures from our Christmas weekend with G & G Petersen and Jen/Joey... :) (We will be having Christmas with the Barbers 2 weekends from now...)

Christmas Eve, after church...

Christmas morning...Presents!!!!! Keatin helped open the majority of presents, whether they were hers or not. :) She got a Dora backpack from Santa...

And Thomas the Train...

And LOTS of new clothes...you may notice how many outfits she has on in the following pictures. :)

Christmas afternoon...opening all those presents is exhausting!

The Barber girls :)

A basketball hoop! Daddy was excited. :)

We decided to try the sledding one more time... I didn't go, but appears Joey had a blast!!!

2 weeks

Will is 2 weeks old today! Josh and I took him to his 2 week doctor's appointment this morning. He weighed in at an even 8 pounds and everything checked out perfect! He has had a stuffy nose the last couple days, but the doctor said his lungs sounded clear...so I was glad to hear that. :) I am paranoid he is going to get sick from Keatin. :) Will has been enjoying more awake time every day...but still sleeps his fair share. Night-times are OK - I can't report he is sleeping all night (I wish!), but he also isn't awake all night. However, Will's crying has not woken Keatin up in the middle of the night...which we are SO grateful for!

*Merry Christmas*

Merry Christmas from THE BARBERS... :)

what we've been up to...merry x-mas eve!

Merry X-mas Eve! It is definitely a White Christmas in Ames, IA...been snowing since 4 am (yes, I was up to look out the window at 4 am). :)

Here are some pics of what we have been up to the last couple days...]

Thursday - Got out the baby gym for Will to play under...he loved it and has used it many times since! I love watching his little eyes try to focus on the toys, and I have even seen him swing his arms at the hanging toys.

Friday morning...Keatin and Will just hanging on the couch. There are times I can't pry this girl away from her baby Whale. :)

Friday afternoon - the snow started, and Josh, Keatin, and I headed out to go sledding! She enjoyed it for 2 trips down the hill, until I accidentally sprayed her in the face with snow - oops!

So Josh decided to take this girl on the sled with him. :)

Snow angels...

Friday night - Will drank his first bottle and did great!

the 3 amigos :)

Last night, Lyle, Becca, and Jack came over for a mini-Barber/DeWild Christmas. :) Becca made homemade pizza (yum) and we had a few Christmas gifts to exchange. Before they headed out, we plopped the 3 kids on the couch and attempted to get some pictures...I don't think we did too bad! I think these 3 are going to be great friends!

1 week, 1 day

Will - you are one week and one day old today!

Grandma Barber has been here the last 2 days. She made homemade chicken noodle soup last night for supper - yummy. :) Keatin is off at Jessica's house - they were going to spend some time playing outside this morning, so she was more than ready to head over there with her "no-pants"! :) Will's diaper leaked somehow in the middle of the night, so he got some new jammies at 4:45 this morning...and another bath once he woke up for the day. I swear - he was wet up to his neck! That must be one of those girls/boys differences... :)

Here are 2 pics of Will from this morning...snoozing in the swing... :) Right now, I have him in the sling - I was never able to use this with Keatin because of her hip harness....but he is snoozing away, so I am guessing it feels ok to him!

6 days

Little Will...it is hard to believe that tomorrow, you will have been in our lives for 1 week already! Josh asked me today if it seemed like forever ago that Will was in my stomach...and it kind of does. :)

G & G Petersen headed back to SL this afternoon, and Grandma Barber is now here for a few days. Becca & Jack stopped over tonight for a few hours...it has been a good day! I am TIRED and may have a headache...but oh, Josh and I are SO blessed by wonderful family members, great friends, and two precious babies. :)

Yesterday, Grandma Petersen made sugar cookies for Keatin to frost and decorate. OH MY - Keatin stuck with this activity for probably 1.5 hours! It was fun to watch her and help out.

Keatin and Will were hanging on the couch this morning...tried to get a few good pictures!

restless night...but still perfect :)

Will decided not to sleep much last night...not sure what his deal was. More restless, awake a lot, and just wanting to eat more. Oh well...I guess I will cut him some slack, given that he is only 5 days old. :) Mommy and Daddy are TIRED, but we will just hope for a better night tonight! Keatin, however, slept all night AGAIN...which I am SO grateful about! So far, she really has handled this transition SO well...I really am so proud to be her mommy. :)

I got the staples taken out of my incision this morning, so that feels good. Will had his checkup at the hospital about an hour ago. When we left the hospital on Wednesday night, he weighed 7 lbs. 2 ounces...and today he was up to 7 lbs. 5 ounces, which is great! He showed no indication of jaundice and in the nurse's words, "he is perfect." :) Wait...we already knew/thought that. :)

Thank you to all our friends and family who have called, sent messages, visited, or sent gifts. Will truly is blessed and we are one lucky family!

Just a few pics...this was Will last night when we were cooking dinner. I appear to have another child who likes their pacifier. :)

Keatin and Mommy time - baking some cookies! (Please ignore the very tired, nothing done to her hair or face Megan.) :)

~ home ~

We are home! Will and I made the trek across town last night before supper. It is SO wonderful being at home with my family...my family, I like saying those words. :)

We have enjoyed a lazy day at home. Grandma Petersen & Aunt Jen went out to run a few errands for me, and Daddy got to go to the gym and do a few projects around the house. Will has been a happy camper and has spent the day sleeping, eating, and pooping. :) Keatin went to Jessica's house mid-morning, and we will pick her up whenever she wakes up from her nap. Tomorrow morning I have to get the staples out of my stomach and Will has a recheck at the hospital at 1 pm.

Snoozing at the hospital yesterday morning...

Mommy put my "going home" outfit on me...Big Sister Keatin picked it out for me. :)

The Barber 4! We are ready to go home...

The whole fam - it takes an army to get a baby home. :)

Daddy and Mommy gave me a quick bath this morning. I cried of course...but did pretty good!

My daddy and me. :)

Snoozing in the bouncy seat.
