[egg hunt]

The weather FINALLY cooperated and Keatin was able have an Easter Egg Hunt around G & G Petersen's yard after church on Sunday morning! As I look at these pictures, it is funny...because I can remember pictures of Jen and I running around our G & G Petersen's farm in our Easter dresses, hunting down eggs. :) Keatin's face, reactions, and words were priceless...I had as much fun watching her as she had finding all the eggs! She needed 3 separate baskets to hold all the eggs she found (minus the one the squirrel ate). :)

It was a great day celebrating this new season of the year...and in case I ever need reminding or I forget...I am truly blessed to have these gifts (AKA - Josh, Keatin, Will, and my family) in my life!

Grandma Petersen was SOOO generous and gave Keatin/Will this lovely bunny that sings a lovely song at the touch of a button. Isn't it great? :) :) Keatin thinks so...check out the video below as evidence. We may have heard this song 927 times before we headed back to Ames yesterday. (Luckily, I hid Mr. Singing Bunny in the car...although Keatin did ask where he was...AAHHHH!)

Oh...and a side note...I think Will is going to say "MA-MA" soon. He was making the "MMMM" sound all weekend long! He gets his little lips all pushed together and will say MMMM to anyone willing to "talk" back to him. :)

Happy Easter

Happy Easter to everyone! We all hope you had a wonderful day!

Love, THE BARBERS :)...

THE ANTHONES :)...

THE PETERSENS :)...

THE WHOLE FAMILY! :)

squirrels = pets?

So...my mom & dad have some VERY domesticated squirrels that live by their house. Like...VERY DOMESTICATED. Could be the fact my mom & dad open their window all the time to feed them peanuts. Or the fact their neighbor lady leaves food for the squirrels in her garage.

Keatin LOVES to feed and watch their squirrels. We spent a lot of time this weekend being entertained by the squirrels. Here are a few pics. :)

The Easter Bunny came to G & G Petersen's house this morning - thank goodness he knew Keatin was here. :) Before she got outside to find all her eggs, look who found them first. OMG!

And look what the squirrels did - ATE THROUGH A PLASTIC EGG AND A WHOLE PACK OF M & M's!

eggs!!

Keatin asked to dye eggs all day yesterday, but Aunt Jen wanted to help...so we waited until today after Keatin's nap. She was SO excited! She did a really good job and actually created some decent looking eggs. :) Now we will have to see if she likes eating them - ha ha!

Oh - this guy liked to watch too. My 2 boys. :)

(bubbles & brownies)

The Easter Bunny is such a nice guy, he delivered Keatin's bubble mower a day early! PERFECT! We were itching to get outside and play...

Uncle Joey helped put the mower together...

Loved the slogan on the box. :)

Whew - we were outside playing for a LONG time! Making brownies and licking the batter hit the spot. :)

easter fun

It is Easter weekend and we are in Storm Lake at G & G Petersen's house. I wish I could say we are outside enjoying the spring weather...but it is cold, windy, and kind of drizzly...so we are inside, watching NBA playoff BB. :) Keatin is napping (never mind, she just woke up), Will is dozing off...thought I would share a few pics quick. :)

Last Sunday, I got out a cookie sheet and shaving cream for Keatin to play with - she loved it!

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter from me too! :)

We went to see the Easter Bunny today in Storm Lake. Will loved the Easter Bunny...

...Keatin, not so much. We FINALLY convinced her to get near the Easter Bunny...but only if Aunt Jen would hold her. Ha!

Keatin made a "picnic" for all of us when we got home...Will even had some utensils to play with!

We will be dying eggs later...sure there will be more pictures to come!
