t-ball!

It is a marvelous Monday in Iowa...finally...some sunshine! However, give it a day or 2...and we will be back to winter-type weather. :( REALLY???

On Saturday morning (which was also a lovely day), Keatin had her first t-ball game. I was very much anticipating this game...because I had predictions it would be kind of like a circus and quite funny...and I was right! And when your name is Keatin Barber, you get to bat 1st because your are 1st in the alphabet! Ha ha! Keatin was unsure of what to expect...but really all it took was one round through the batting order, and she totally had it. And when the game was over, she was bummed and asked when we could do it again...so I took that as a good sign! It was really fun to watch her learn a new skill, take directions from someone else (her coach), and just get to know/interact with other girls! And between all my giggling, I did get a few pictures/videos...enjoy!

finally friday

It is finally Friday - yay!

Here are just a few snippets from yesterday...when the weather was FINALLY semi-warm!

Took this pictures of Keatin and me in the morning...because she had "curly hair like mom."

After school yesterday, Keatin, Will, and I were invited to a friend's house to see their baby chicks! Of course, I got no pictures of the chicks...but did catch a few of Keatin on the gator!

After we were back at home and had some supper, Daddy treated the kids to some ice creams treats on the deck. I see a lot of evenings like this in our new future! (And I just couldn't stop taking pictures of K & W...they were happy, the sun was pretty, it was perfect!)

And really, no brainer here...we had music playing...and we were dancing. :)

And a snippet from my day care provider...she just e-mailed this to me...can you find K & W? :)

sunday

Happy Hump Day! I swear...these weeks are FLYING by! How is it almost May????

On Sunday afternoon, I captured a few of our "adventures" on camera...

Did you know McDonalds hands out these smile faces??? Will loved it...and I think it is something I could use at school!

Josh went to the store and came home with this indoor plant-growing/greenhouse thing???? Keatin helped him plant seeds for some various vegetables. He thinks we are going to have a successful garden this year...we will see...that can be his baby, not mine. :)

And, Grandpa Petersen was in town for work...so we went to his hotel to swim. And OMG - this picture is cracking me up! I am not sure where Will's pose came from...but I can't do anything but smile and laugh when I look at it! (And he looks so BIG...sigh...)

And why take off your floaties in the bath???? Hehehehe...

Hope everyone has a great rest of the week! Bring on the sunshine and nice weather...PLEASE!

bowling!

Happy Monday! We had a nice, low-key weekend at our house...

Josh has been wanting to take the kids bowling at Uncle Buck's...which is a bowling place inside Bass Pro Shops. So on Thursday after we both got off work and got the kids picked up, we went straight there for 1/2 price appetizers and some family bowling. Wasn't sure how the kids would like it...but they both loved it! They were so good...it was great, family fun!

Will was so cheesy and happy the whole time we were there!

Did you know they made bowling shoes small enough for my kids? Ha ha - so cute!

Yes folks...you may notice that the person with the K name beat the person with the M name. :)

And before we left, we headed into Bass Pro Shops and Josh/I did some target shooting. I must say...I wasn't too shabby for someone who has not held a gun, much less shot one since I was probably like 12! Josh said he had to take these pictures so my dad could see them - haha!

And just have to share...I think I can officially say we have 2 kids at our house that use the potty! Will has done SO good with this whole potty-training business. Yes - we still have our moments/accidents...but he has impressed me and done an amazing job!

Here is to hoping everyone has a great week!
