q-tip painting

We did this last night. I found it online last week and knew K & W would love it. They both love to paint, and this was a "new" way to do it!

Snow day today...LOTS of snow...this is the storm that was supposed to be 1-3 inches. Hmmm...they lied!

So...did you hear? It snowed here last week...not like a snowstorm of the century...but just like 6 inches. :) Started Thursday night...and I had 2 people at my house who just HAD to go outside to play before bedtime. :)

 Saturday morning, Josh had to work...but the kids and I headed back outside!

The way our house is built, there is a slope going down into our backyard...perfect for sledding when you are 4 or 2 years old.

Sunday afternoon, back outside we went! This time with daddy and we made a snowman!

Keatin made the head of the snowman...yes, it is small. :)

And it was time to go in after Will took a dive in the mud. :)

Ok - I know these pictures don't actually show anything about our new house besides a very small corner in Will's bedroom...but it all I have as of now! :)

We have an extra crib/toddler bed mattress...so I decided to throw it in this little corner of Will's bedroom and make a "little couch" for the kids to read books on. They seemed to like it last night! Ignore the fact they have no pants on and it appears Keatin is picking her nose. :)

Things still need to be unpacked...but we are in our new home...and it feels great! So exhausting...haven't even taken any pictures yet...check back soon for those. :)

When you are 4 and your birthday is in the summer, your 1/2 birthday celebration at school is a BIG DEAL (or at least it was at our house)! :)

Last week, Keatin had her "birthday" celebration and since I am at school with her, she convinced me I needed to come watch her pass out her cupcakes and eat snack. It was fun. :)

And just another picture from Andee (our day care provider). I love when these things pop into my inbox in the middle of a work day! :) (Hmmm...why does Will look so old here??? AAAHHHH!)

Happy hump day...and I get my haircut tonight...so it is a good day. :)

february

I can't believe it is February already...

We move in 2 weeks...I can't believe that either... It has crept up on us...should get to packing, huh?

The photos in this post are pretty random...but it is all I got!

I think it was 2 weekend ago, we went to Bass Pro Shops after church on Sunday. Josh wanted to check it out. I'll give him credit...it was cool...but since I don't hunt or fish or do any other outdoor-type sports/activities, not sure I would ever need to go back...unless I just wanted to look at all the cool decorations again! Keatin and Will had a blast!

Then last weekend, Josh's old roomie - Sterls - and his wife - Cretia - came up to Iowa from KC and the 4 adults went to the ISU/K-State BB game! It was a fun game and the Cyclones won! Thanks to Becca and Lyle for watching Keatin and Will...the game, which was during naptime, was SO much more enjoyable with the children elsewhere. :)

And after Sterls and Cretia went home on Sunday, we sent them this picture...

Oh - and I had these 3 monkeys at my house too! :)

And when I took the photos below, I remember laughing - what better place to watch cartoons than on Crimson's dog pillow? Well...that pillow is now put away. It has been a VERY sad couple days around here. On Wednesday, we had to put Crimson to sleep. It is still hard to talk about...she was very sick. We miss her so much...it is amazing how quiet a place can seem...a house with 2 small children...without your dog. Say a prayer for our Crimmy-girl that she is laying on a really soft cloud, sleeping next to Jesus...that is what Keatin keeps telling me. :)
