rainy memorial day...

Happy belated Memorial Day! It was raining here on Memorial Day (wait - it has been raining here EVERY DAY...boo)! Anyways, too much rain = a good reason to go up to school and play in the gym! The 4 of us had a great time playing in "Mr. Zarr's gym"...and don't even try to call it just "the gym"...Keatin lets us know it is "Mr. Zarr's gym." :)

jack is [almost] 3!

We headed over to DeWild's house on Saturday afternoon/evening for supper/playing. Jack will turn 3 on Tuesday and I wasn't sure if we would see him that day or not...so we brought his gift a few days early. Keatin and Jack immediately tested out the velcro catching mitts we bought for him...and they did pretty good!

And this was today before naptime...all cuddled up watching some relaxing TV...Transformers. :)

Keatin's preschool graduation

On Friday afternoon, we celebrated Keatin's graduation from preschool. She was so excited...and we were so happy for and proud of her. Josh took off work early to come...and both sets of grandparents decided to surprise Keatin and attend as well! (There are 3 videos below from the ceremony...on the 1st one, you can see Keatin's reaction at the very end when she realizes who is all there to see her.) There were 4 preschool classes graduating...so around 50-60 kids total. Keatin walked in all smiles...and must have even buttoned her sweater crooked before entering the gym. :) And she only showed the audience her underwear 2 times...so I didn't think that was too shabby. :) We love you Keatin Marie and are so proud of all the things you have learned at school!

water day!

Last Thursday, Keatin had Water Day at preschool. It actually wasn't overly warm that day...and when I headed outside to see how much fun she was having, she spent most of the time laying out everyone's towels. Eventually she joined in the water fun...and then had to show me how good she was at the hula hoop! (Note to self: get hula hoops!) :)

Hello!

We were at a wedding over the weekend in Storm Lake...and when the "dance" part of the reception rolled around, no one was really dancing. I told the DJ if he played Gangnam Style, my kids would dance. So he did...and then K & W cut loose. :) Was hard to get a good picture of them flying around the dance floor...but they had all the adults laughing by the time it was over!

It was hot in Iowa yesterday...FINALLY! Made me SO excited for summer...although that is still a few weeks off for me.

Here are some pictures Josh took off our deck when the sun was setting...

And before the sun set, we got out the water in our front yard...and the neighborhood children (and adults and dogs) flocked to our house! Ha ha! But it was SO fun. :) We have a baby pool and a lady bug sprinkler...so I got those going at first. Then I put one of our little slides into the baby pool. Then I dug out our empty sandbox and filled that with water as well. I thought Josh might be mad I had 2 pools on our new grass, but he seemed fine with it...and I aimed the sprinkler at our new tree, so I was really watering the tree in the process - haha! In all, we had 7 kids playing (Jack and Reid included) and about 5 adults just lounging in the driveway. I loved it. :) And our one neighbor girl told me our front yard was like a water park, so hey - I don't think I did too shabby setting up the fun!

This is our neighbor's dog, Mattie. She is a PRINCESS...she just sat on a chair. HAHA!
