In the last week...

...we got to celebrate our neighbor, AJ's 5th birthday...

...which means Keatin got to love on Aly. :)

We practiced some letters and writing one night...

...and dressed for the game as we headed off to work on Friday!

As spring break wrapped up last week, ruby found a new place to nap...

...Keatin had a couple play dates with friends...

...Will and AJ "played games" at Founders...

...and ruby loved on Keatin. :)

To top off our week, we went to the circus on Saturday night! Keatin's name was announced as one of the coloring contest winners, Lauren came along, and we had a great time! We were so proud of Keatin - I know she was nervous to stand out on the circus floor, but she did a great job. :)

And time to go home!!

Alleluia for sunshine and a day full of playing outside! I was outside more hours yesterday than all winter combined...my cheeks and nose were even pink last night-crazy! 

And when you try to keep up outside with all the kids...this is what you do within 5 minutes of coming in. :)

St. Patty's Day!

Happy st. Patrick's day! As I put the kids to bed tonight, I found myself humming the Irish Blessing (I sang that song in choir every year in high school - ha!) We had a great day...full of lots of green!

Green pancakes and green eggs...

Green chocolate chip cookies...

And the green Schlitz shirt I wore all day-thanks grandma figge!

Spring break 2014

Happy spring break 2014!

Last year, we were spending part of spring break in balmy Omaha, NE...this year, josh and I headed to....Mankato, MN! Ha! We know the hot spots don't we? :)

We were able to watch nwmsu (and our friend, Ben coach the team) in their first round D-II championship game...they won! We spent the night and headed back home today...

...and tonight, watching their second round game like this! :) ha! Go bearcats!

And I may have discovered the secret to making ruby stay in one spot...laundry fresh out if the dryer. :)

Looking forward to my week with the kiddos...let's go cyclones, bluejays, and hawkeyes...March Madness!!!

Last Friday, we were notified there was going to be a special assembly at school for our K & 1st grade students...but no other details than that. Long story short, there was one student from our school who had won the Shriners Circus coloring contest (picked from 4,000 returned coloring sheets from the area)...and that was Keatin Barber. :) I had no idea...my principal had called Josh, but he kept the secret from me too! We were so proud of Keatin...and she won a new bike! I think she was completely overwhelmed in front of all those people...but relaxed after a bit and took her bike for a spin up & down the halls at school. We will be going to the circus in a few weeks...

And later that same night, Keatin had a dance clinic performance...and Will/I took a few selfies while waiting for her to go on. :)
