May 18th....

I am sitting in a hotel room in Dubuque, so thought I would pass the time by updating/posting some new stuff. :) Below are 2 pictures of my tummy - from 5/6 (almost 26 weeks) & 5/12 (almost 27 weeks).

Last weekend, we were in Omaha for Jen's graduation from pharmacy school and this weekend we were in Dubuque for a wedding...Josh's friend Tadd. He is in the army, and just returned from overseas a few weeks ago. Josh was a groomsmen in the wedding - here he is walking down the "aisle" (it was an outdoor wedding). Below that is a picture of Josh and I after the wedding ceremony.I have my 28 week appointment tomorrow morning...and I know I have to get a shot. I think Josh will skip out on that, since he about fainted when he had to get his blood drawn. :) Things are going well...besides I have developed HORRIBLE heartburn. And the more it happens, the more I think it is acid reflux or something like that...wakes me up in the middle of the night, and happens during the day as well - my throat feels like it is on fire. I am hoping my doctor can give me some advice tomorrow!

In other news...Josh and I are preparing to re-roof our house next weekend - OH BOY! Aaron Carlson is our "head man" - what a wonderful friend to help us do this. Also, Ben and his family will be coming up from Kansas...so we will have a fun, work-filled weekend! (I believe Trish volunteered to rip shingles off as well, so looks like I will just have to hold baby Lane.) :) We are praying for good weather, and can't wait to have this house project under our belts. :)

Only 2 more weeks of school for me - YIPEE!!!

A nice weekend...

No pictures of me this time...thought I would share the other members of the family. :) Here is Josh and Crimson relaxing on Saturday night, watching a little NBA playoff basketball. Below that is a pic of our "green thumb" project of the day...we planted a mini garden - 4 tomato plants and 2 pepper plants. :) We actually got a little sun - yipee!

In baby news, my belly button is slowly becoming shallower and shallower. I predict that I will soon have an outie. :) Josh is showing more interest in actually feeling the baby move, so that is fun...I think he is shocked by how much he can feel it (I tell him that I feel double that on the inside)!

Hope everyone has a nice week!

Megan and Megan bellies... :)

OKAY - I have NO idea what I am doing wrong, but I cannot get these pictures rotated - aahh! I am going to have to ask my experienced blogger friends what I am doing wrong. :) But that is beside the point...here is an updated picture of me and my friend Megan (we graduated high school together). She is 27 weeks and I am 24.5 weeks in the pic...taken on 4/26. This was quite the hilarious process to take the picture - I think our husbands just wanted us to rub our bellies together. Needless to say, Megan and I both almost wet our pants laughing (which is apparently very easy to do when you are pregnant). :)

Everything baby-wise is fine...still droopy a lot of the time, and my new adventure is horrible heartburn that wakes me up in the middle of the night...oh joy. :)

Josh and I bought a new car...2004 Nissan Maxima. So, if anyone wants a VERY lovely 1997 Toyota Camry...let us know!

Doctor appointment day...

Josh and I were in for my 24 week check-up today. Everything looked good, and we got to hear our little one's heartbeat again - nice and strong! (Should be for all the pounding I am taking inside my tummy!)

In other news, we had visitors over the weekend - our friend Trish and Aaron and their 6-week old, Lane, on Friday night...and my parents on Saturday/Sunday. We did some shopping in Des Moines for Jen's wedding, and then stuff around the house on Sunday (Josh and dad changed tires on the car while mom and I raked up Crimson poo-poo in the yard). :) I had to include a few pictures of Josh and Lane - doesn't he look good holding a baby? :) Makes me excited!!!

Me and my tummy on 4/19 - 23.5 weeks :)

New pics....

Good Monday Morning! I have been messing with these pictures and tried to get them to rotate, but my brain isn't functioning enough yet to really mess with them...so sorry - you will just have to turn your heads this time around. :)

We had snow on the ground again Saturday morning, but this week looks hopeful - I CANNOT WAIT FOR WARM WEATHER!!!!! Josh is in KC today, picking up our new car (Nissan Maxima). We are going to try to sell my car...however, I will get Josh's red car and he gets to drive the new car - funny how that works. My next OB appointment is one week from today...

Pic from yesterday (4/13), trying on a dress - 22.5 weeks

Something new...

I had to share...I just saw my belly move from the baby moving for the first time! I have felt the baby moving for weeks now, but haven't seen it from the outside...until tonight when I was sitting in the bathtub! It was VERY cool! Josh is still freaked out by the "feeling the baby move" business... Our friend Lyle felt it last weekend...and pulled his hand back REALLY fast as well!

It is April!

Here is an updated picture of me over the weekend - this would be 20 weeks, 2 days. Notice Crimson sleeping on the floor - it was a STRESSFUL day of watching the NCAA BB tournament. :)

I don't feel like there is anything new to report. We HOPE we are over halfway there now. My tummy is definitely "popping out" or however you want to say it. And I have officially bought some maternity pants to help get me through the end of the school year. My regular pants just wouldn't button anymore! I feel the baby move quite frequently...my least favorite time would be in the middle of the night - ha ha!

This week, I am really leaning towards a boy for our baby...Josh is still sticking to his guns that it is a girl. :)
