On the morning of this Valentine's Day, I got to start off my day by feeling like I was going to get sick. This was really the first time I had felt a wave of nausea so strong. I had my coat on, literally ready to walk out the door and I quickly took it back off and ran into the bathroom. Sat there for about 5 minutes, nothing happened...but I felt yucky. Off to school I came, and one of the first teachers I walked by told me I didn't look like I felt too well - oh, the joys of being pregnant. I have felt better as the day has gone on, but seriously - that wave came out of NOWHERE.
On a happier note, Josh drove over to school and surprised me with a Valentine's Day lunch of Jimmy John's, fresh pineapple, and chocolate-dipped strawberries. We were just sitting down to eat, and...the fire alarm went off! I sprang out of the office, followed by my husband whose eyes turned into saucers as he saw the chaos of 300 elementary students in the midst of a fire alarm. If you are lucky enough not to live in the Midwest, remember - it is barely above 0 degrees right now and we had many K-1 students trying to change out of their snowpants/coats. I saw one kindergarten teacher carrying a student under each arm. Luckily, they only had to be outside for about 5 minutes...as my principal, janitor, Josh, and I ran around the building looking for the sensor that had been triggered. Needless to say, I bet Josh never expected so much excitement on his Valentine's Day lunch trip to West Marshall!
I am 14 weeks along today - only 26 more to go! :)
