the z-o-o!

I really wanted to take Keatin to the Henry Doorly Zoo this summer. We tried to get there in June, but other things came up. So what better time to go than 5 days after we get back from Jamaica during the week when it has been over 100 degrees every day? Ha! (Oh - and our drive to Omaha took almost 5 hours because of ragbrai traffic, a truck accident, and construction on I-80...urgh!) In the end, we had a great weekend in Omaha! G & G Petersen were there because of the start of Ragbrai, so Will stayed with Grandma Petersen while the rest of us headed to the zoo.

Sunday morning at the zoo...we explored the Jungle first...

My college classmate Sarah and her daughter Rory met up with us at the zoo...the girls had fun exploring together.

Keatin asked to see 2 things at the zoo - penguins and giraffes. We found them both!

The aquarium was the last place we visited - so cool!

Sunday afternoon, Joey took us to his parent's house/pool. It was refreshing and Keatin loved it! Will and I spent most of our time inside their house...but everyone else had fun! Here are a few pics of Will splashing around before he hit a wall. :)
